Kids have blast at Soccer Clinic
BR Soccer players enjoyed a fun day of drills and instruction at the one day soccer clinic, held at the WBR complex on Sunday , 5/15/2011. The clinic was hosted by instructors from Challenger Sports, David and Gavin, both from England. Challenger Sports will be hosting the WBRSA's Summer Soccer Camp July 18th-22nd. "The clinic was a great promo for the Summer Camp. David and Gavin were great with the kids. I was very impressed," said WBRSA Director John Windham.

The WEST BATON ROUGE SOCCER ASSOCIATION is pleased to announce a year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA's most popular soccer camp, to host the week long British Soccer camp during the week of 7/16/2012 - 7/20/2012 at West Baton Rouge Soccer Complex, 3553 Rosedale Road Port Allen, LA 70767.
The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger's British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger will hold over 4,000 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 120,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 30,000 parents and coaches.
Challenger's British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily 'World Cup' tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.
Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39. - From I-10 Westbound over New Mississippi River Bridge:
Over Miss. River Bridge west on I-10, take Hwy 415 exit (1st exit approx. 1 ½ miles from New Bridge). Go north (right) on Hwy 415 to 2nd Red Light (about 1 mile from exit). Take a left onto Rosedale Rd.. . 100 yards on your left you will find the WBR Soccer complex.
- From U S 190 (Airline Hwy/Old Bridge):
Take LA 415 South (about 1 ¼ miles west of the Old Miss. Bridge) to Rosedale Rd. (red light about 3 miles south of US 190). Take a Right on Rosedale Rd. 100 yards on your left you will find the WBR Soccer complex..
- U12 boys and girls, and U13/15 boys and girls; you may enter through the rear entrance (Ted Denzell Drive) to park in the back parking lot which is closer to your fields.
